Since its inception, Quemix has been developing quantum algorithms for fault-tolerant quantum computing (FTQC). In this context, we have developed and proposed innovative Probabilistic Imaginary-Time Evolution (PITE) algorithms that can be implemented in quantum computers. Materials computation has attracted much attention as a promising candidate for the first application of quantum computing. In this talk, we will show that PITE can be used to perform calculations that are completely different from conventional quantum chemical calculations on quantum computers, and we will also present its quantum advantages with examples using current quantum hardware devices.

Quemixは創業以来、エラー耐性量子コンピュータ(FTQC)のための量子アルゴリズム開発を進めてきました。その成果の一つが、量子コンピュータ上で実装可能な革新的な確率的虚時間発展法(PITE)アルゴリズムの開発です。量子コンピュータの最初の有望なアプリケーション先として期待されている分野に材料計算が挙げられます。本講演では材料計算を例に取り、PITEアルゴリズムを用いることで他の量子アルゴリズムとは全く異なる量子化学計算が可能になること、さらにはその量子優越性や実機を用いた最近の実例をご紹介いたします。
