Impact of Quantum Sensors on Earth Observation from Space

Quantum sensors have a broad range of applications in aerospace and are a promising technology, in particular when deployed in space. Cold atom interferometry can enhance the gravity field monitoring and hence improve simulations of Earth geophysical systems and climate change. In this presentation, I will report on recent progress in the field and the activities performed at Airbus.
