As a method to enhance MRI sensitivity, we utilize a spin hyperpolarization technique that we had studied for initialization of NMR quantum computers. We can increase nuclear spin polarization and NMR sensitivity with using the quantum process in pentacene or NV centers with an enhancement factor of 1,000-10,000 at room temperature. Hypersensitive NMR and MRI can be used for drug screening and evaluation of anti-cancer drug treatments.

MRI感度を向上させる方法として、我々はNMR量子コンピュータの初期化で研究したスピン超偏極技術を研究している。ペンタセンやNV中心における量子力学的過程を利用することにより、核スピン偏極率とNMR感度を室温で1,000~10,000倍向上させることができる。高感度NMRやMRIは、創薬スクリーニングや抗がん剤治療の評価に利用できる。
