In this talk I will give an overview of how Covestro, a global high performance polymer chemistry company, is approaching quantum computing for digital R&D and present recent works with QC Ware and Google on much more efficient ways of encoding and measuring electronic structure Hamiltonians, new ways of including dynamic correlation effects by using quantum computers to augment coupled cluster calculations, and the learnings from tests of error mitigation techniques on hardware.
