3 years have passed since BCG’s last market forecast. An impressive number of discoveries and developments happened. Some have been sobering – e.g. “useful” resource estimation, algorithms disproven (e.g. VQE), fidelities increasing slower than qubits… Some have been exciting – e.g. doubling of qubits, new ambitious roadmaps, progress on error correction. Where do we stand today? Should we be more optimistic or pessimistic than we were in 2021?
