Earlier this year, Microsoft and Quantinuum achieved a groundbreaking advancement in quantum computing by producing the most reliable logical qubits to date. This breakthrough, utilizing Microsoft’s qubit-virtualization system alongside Quantinuum’s System Model H2, resulted in logical circuit error rates that are 800 times lower than physical circuit error rates, significantly accelerating the timeline toward large-scale, fault-tolerant quantum computing.
